After a wonderful night last January we decided to invite back the magical duet of Elsa Davies & Ceri Owen Jones for another beautiful night of song and good food in our cafe. And so, on the 19th January 2019, we will be hosting the enigmatic Deuair, a duo of Welsh Harp and Violin accompanying two harmonious voices.
As ever we will be preparing a fantastic 3-course vegetarian meal, all for £19.95.

Mae Deuair yn chwarae i ddawnsio a gwrando. Mae eu bwriad nhw yn dysgu a dehongli caneuon prin lleol a storiau o’u cyfeillion cerddorol a’u ymchwil nhw gyda hen lawysgrifau.
Mae Ceri ac Elsa yn chwarae i ddawnswyr (cyfoes a thradoddiadol) a thwmpathau, mwynhau a dathlu cerddoriaeth cymdeithasol a diwylliant Cymreig.
Deuair is Elsa Davies and Ceri Owen-Jones: fiddle, harp & two voices.
Deuair means literally ‘two words’, and is an old Welsh poetic form and measure.
Deuair play music for listening and dancing. Their intent is to learn and interpret rare local songs and stories from fellow musicians and old manuscripts.
Ceri and Elsa play for dancers (contemporary and traditional), and twmpathe (social dances) celebrating Welsh music, culture and community.
