Therapist Fair – Sat.17th May in Mulberry Bush Wholefoods Cafe

On Saturday 17th May we will be holding a Therapist Fair, which will you a chance to meet some of our local therapists and find out how they can help. The event is free and everyone is welcome. Therapists attending are:

ALI KAYE & SHION BUSCHNER- WILSON have been practicing Acupuncture in the Lampeter area for over twenty five years. They both studied at the College of Traditional Acupuncture at Leamington Spa under Professor J.R Worsley. Ali writes: As a member of the British Acupuncture Council I am engaged in continuing professional development and have made a particular study of the use of acupuncture in the treatment of sub fertility, pregnancy and childbirth. Using acupuncture enables me to treat each person’s unique energetic pattern and to help people make profound changes in health and well being.

VAL ALLEN is a Senior Accredited Member of British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy, a UK Registered Independent Counsellor. She has worked as a psychotherapist/counsellor and clinical hypnotherapist for over 25 years, offering brief counselling as well as long term psychotherapy. Her work is Integrative, based in person-centred theory informed by various other approaches, including trainings in EMDR, Somatic Trauma Therapy and LBGTO issues.

CATRIONA MACDONALD is a Registered Osteopath. She has been practicing osteopathy since 1989 and began working in Lampeter in 2010. Her aims are not only to alleviate pain and immobility but also to help people find deeper levels of wellness. She particularly enjoys supporting expectant mums and families, as well as helping people recovering from trauma and long term illness.

TAIGA PRZIBYLLA is a practitioner in Vital Energy and Oriental Bodywork with over 25 years experience. Trained in Shiatsu, Seiki, and Buqi Healing she combines different techniques to effect and enhance the body’s ability to heal and self-regulate. Informed by Traditional Chinese Medicine her approach focuses on the harmonious and unobstructed flow of vital energy, the clearing of any blockages in meridians, joints and organs, effecting postural correction and transforming emotions, thereby restoring health and vitality naturally

ANNIE ZAKIEWICZ qualified as a reflexologist in 2007. She is a member of The Association of Reflexologists and is registered with The Complementary & Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC). Reflexology can be a deeply relaxing therapy. A reflexologist uses a specific touch technique on your hands or feet to help you relax. Relaxation helps improve mood, aid sleep and relieve tension. The result is an overall sense of wellbeing.

MIKE CLARKE is a Bowen Technique Practitioner.The Bowen Technique is a remedial, hands-on therapy that is applied using very gentle pressure. The practitioner uses thumbs and fingers on precise points of the body to perform Bowen`s unique sets of rolling-type moves which stimulate the muscles and soft tissue of the body. There is no manipulation or adjustment of hard tissue and no force is used. The experience of a treatment is gentle, subtle and relaxing. It is believed that the Bowen Technique prompts the body to rest, repair and balance itself and clients report the experience of pain relief, improvement of function and recovery of energy

JO CAMLIN BSC WSHOM qualified as a Homeopath in 2009. Homeopathy is holistic in it’s approach, and takes the whole person into account when finding the right remedy. Jo will be available to discuss symptoms, remedies, potencies, acute or chronic issues, children’s health, as well as any general philosophical healthcare questions or the philosophy of homeopathy.

GILLIAN BUTLER practices Reiki using a form of Shamanic journeying, which can provide healing on an emotional or a physical level. She is a Reiki Master with 13 years experience.

CHRISTINE STEVENSON is a practitioner of Western Herbal Medicine (WHM), a discipline which has evolved over the last 2000 years. In its modern form WHM combines traditional knowledge of herbs with scientific research. Dietary advice plays an important part in treatment. Herbal Medicine is appropriate for many conditions but is particularly good at treating chronic conditions such as gut related problems, skin conditions and hormonal disturbances.

LOUISE NADIM & CATHY CRICK STANTON are both Barbara Brennan hands-on energy healing practitioners registered with the CNHC. Brennan healing is an holistic therapy that strengthens, rebalances and repairs the energy field which flows through and around the body. This process improves physical, mental and emotional well-being, increases awareness and provides a way forward through chronic illness, anxiety, depression and energy loss.

MAY LAUDER a Nutritional Therapist & Member FNTP. My approach is an holistic one. My aim is to empower you with knowledge about how your current diet may be contributing to any symptoms of ill health and how small changes can make a huge difference to the way you feel.
