Kitchen Assistant / Dry Food Packer
Mulberry Bush Wholefoods is looking for a part time member of staff to join our team.
We are a busy, friendly independent health-food store & vegetarian cafe in the heart of Lampeter.
All our dishes are made from scratch and we package a lot of dried goods for sale in the shop.
We are looking for someone to work both in the cafe and the shop but primarily to work upstairs
to help with food prep and dry food packaging.
Duties will include:
• preparing salads and vegetables for our vegetarian cafe
• serving coffee and lunches to customers
• packaging dry foods for resale in the shop
• washing up and keeping the cafe clean and tidy
• cleaning and maintaining our food hygiene standards
• serving customers in the shop
A successful applicant will have:
• experience in catering / retail
• a keen interest in vegetarian food
• an interest in creating delicious wholesome veggie salads
• basic maths skills – cash handling and weighing out dry foods
• a great work ethic
• availability on Mondays, Fridays and Saturdays and flexibility to do extra / different days on
occasion to help cover annual leave / sickness.
• good hygiene and cleaning skills
• an ability to speak Welsh (even tipyn bach)
Full training will be provided but previous experience in catering / retail / health food industry will
be an advantage.
STARTING DATE : Monday 29th June 2026
Variable Hours: 15 hours a week – up to 22.5 hours per week.
Shifts: Monday 9-5.30, Friday 9-5.30, Saturday 9-5.30
Pay: £12.90 starting wage increasing to £13.25 after a probationary / training period.
