We have been short-listed for the prestigious Natural and Organic Products Europe Best Independent Retailer award. This is the top industry award and event organiser Suzanne Rowland informed us that there’s been a record number of entries from all over the country and that the Mulberry Bush Wholefoods is on a short list of just three.
Back in 2007, Mulberry Bush Wholefoods won the category of ‘Best Pioneer’ in the industry after a complete renovation of the store and the opening of our cafe. This award however is the big one in the Health Food trade.
Stella and her mother Josie Smith, who co-founded the Mulberry Bush in 1974, will be attending the award ceremony and dinner in London on Sunday 13th April. They are practising their ‘gracious loser faces’ but we’ll all be keeping our fingers crossed!
None of this would be happening if it were not for the fantastic support of our wonderful community, in a time were our high street seem to be taking quite a hit with more and more Lampeter businesses closing shop. So a big thank-you to all!
