Oh Yes. Our music season is starting up once again and we have a great line-up in store for you. To inaugurate the season we have The Golden Geckos.<\/a><\/p>\n

Local singer-songwriter, Georgia Owen, returns to the Mulberry Bush to provide another evening of musical entertainment, this time as part of an acoustic duo- “The Golden Geckos”, in which Georgia is joined by\u00a0Carl Spillett on guitar and backing vocals.<\/p>\n

Georgia has been writing songs since childhood, inspired by listening to singer-songwriters like\u00a0Joni Mitchell, James Taylor and\u00a0Carole King.\u00a0Carl has played for many years in numerous different styles, bands and genres. Having met in 2010, they discovered a musical affinity which led to them forming the duo. Due to their diverse background and eclectic tastes, playing both original songs and a varied mix of covers, also some in Welsh,\u00a0they have gathered quite a following through many well-received performances at local folk evenings, festivals, parties and gigs as well as travelling further afield to perform at Cwlwm Celtaidd and recently\u00a0as guests\u00a0on Radio Tircoed.<\/p>\n

“These guys are a duo that really work well together – a mix of strong songs and great delivery alongside Georgia & Carl\u2019s infectious charm is a winning formula.\u00a0<\/i><\/p>\n

Carl\u2019s playing is sublime and really compliments Georgia\u2019s vocals but it\u2019s the songs that are the real stars here!\u00a0It\u2019s not often you think it really can\u2019t get any better – but it does ! Each song is a mini-masterpiece and a masterclass in how a tune should be constructed.\u00a0<\/i>One word for this…….beautiful!”<\/i><\/p>\n
