During the months of May & June we are hosting the brush works of local hero Shirley Hall. With big canvases and bigger style Shirley’s works depict scenes of Lampeter town and the musician and bards who make our little corner of the universe so special. These works vary from full abstracts to representative pieces, and all are a lively splash of colour.
This month’s art in the cafe comes in the medium of photography, by the talented and well travelled local photographer Andrew Warren.
His work depicts many local beauty spots, all with a unique eye for capturing the vivid & moody skies of west Wales we know and love. His work comes in both colour and black & white flavours, and seen as a whole exhibition makes you feel a bit like you’ve been for a day out, albeit from the warmth of the cafe.
All of Andrew’s work is available to buy at reasonable prices and in various formats. Framed & mounted, canvas prints, prints in mounts and a wide selection of greeting cards.
And if you like his work, Andrew also offers bespoke workshops teaching photography technique.
A musical interpretation of e.e. cummings poetry, by renowned local musicians Maggie Nicols and Paul Uden.

She wil be performing along with Paul Uden, local jazz guitarist with his own unique percussive acoustic guitar style familiar from local legends Mojas, Jadu & MagiCarpet among others. Together they will weave the words of e.e. cummings into musical form.
But of course, the music is not all. We will be having the usual extravagance of gourmet vegetarian dishes, with a 3 course meal for just £19.95. Fully licensed bar. 😀
